London Ties Series 2-2 as the Windsor Express Fall Short, 111-108.

The Windsor Express erased a 19 point deficit in the fourth quarter, but the comeback was not enough in Game 4 of the Conference Finals. The Express fell to the Lightning, 111-108. The series is now tied 2-2.

The Express were off to an electric start in the game taking a 9-0 lead in the first four and a half minutes. The Lightning were able to capitalize off a 9-0 run late in the first to bring the score within 5, 22-17. Shaquille Keith beats the buzzer to close the quarter, and the Express finish with a 28-24 lead.

The second quarter was a furious fight between both teams. Ryan Anderson hit back to back three pointers to extend London’s lead by 5, 41-36 with four minutes left. Windsor had lost it’s momentum and went into halftime with a six point deficit, 51-45.

The third quarter was no better for the Express, who were outscored 39-29 by the Lightning. The Express went into the final frame trailing 90-74.

The fourth quarter was where Windsor was able to make a comeback. Billy Rush went on a 6-0 run by himself midway through, bringing the score within 10, 100-90. Brandon Robinson brought the score within one, 103-102 after hitting a jumper with just over three minutes left. London walked away with a 111-108 win, tying the series at 2-2.

Brandon Robinson and Kirk Williams Jr each put up 24 points.

Tony Bennett added 17 points of his own.

Ryan Anderson led the Lightning in scoring, putting up a game high 34 points in the win.

Garrett Williamson and Akeem Scott each added 17 points of their own.

The series will return to Budweiser Gardens for Game 5 of the Conference Finals, where the Express will have a chance to take back the series lead. Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm.

Game 6 of the Conference Finals will return to The WFCU Centre on Friday, May 27th for a 7:30pm game start.
