With a 38-24 win over the Cleveland Browns, the Lions improved their record to 5-4 in 2017 and have accumulated a winning record through nine games for the third time in four seasons under Head Coach Jim Caldwell.

The victory over the Browns gives the Lions their 10th win in November since the 2014 season. The Lions are now 10-3 in November under Caldwell and have won eight-straight games. Detroit tied Kansas City for the second-most wins in the month of November over the past four seasons.

Detroit joined Seattle (11) and Kansas City (10) as the only teams to claim 10+ wins in November over the past four seasons.

Since 2014, the Lions have accumulated the best winning percentage (.769; 10-3 record) in November.

LIONS-BROWNS SERIES
In the 20th game of the Detroit-Cleveland series, the Lions won for the 16th time against the Browns. Detroit’s current record of 16-4 against Cleveland ranks as the highest winning percentage (.800) against any active franchise in the NFL.

The Lions also improved to 2-0 at Ford Field vs. Cleveland.

Detroit claimed the club’s fourth-straight win over Cleveland and seventh in the past eight games against the Browns dating back to 1989.

Today’s attendance for the Lions’ 38-24 win over Cleveland was 64,646, the Lions largest crowd for a Sunday 1 p.m. game in Ford Field history. The previous high was 64,552 vs. Chicago September 29, 2013. Overall, today’s game ranks as the eighth-largest Lions’ crowd at Ford Field.

TOTAL TEAM RETURN TOUCHDOWNS
CB Nevin Lawson’s 44-yard fumble return touchdown gave the Lions the team’s sixth return touchdown this season, the most by the Lions through nine games since 1971 (6). This also marks the fourth time since 1940 that Detroit has scored six total return touchdowns through nine games, including 1950 (7), 1954 (7) and 1971 (6).

The Lions have also registered four defensive touchdowns (interceptions and fumble recoveries) this season, which is the first time the team has recorded four defensive touchdowns through nine games since 2011 (4).

CB NEVIN LAWSON
In the second quarter, CB Nevin Lawson stripped Cleveland after a completed pass, recorded the fumble and returned the recovery for a 44-yard touchdown. On the play, Lawson recorded his first-career forced fumble, first-career fumble recovery and first-career touchdown.

Lawson is the first Lions player with a forced fumble, recovery and return TD on the same play since DE Cliff Avril on October 30, 2011 at Denver.

Lawson’s 44-yard fumble return for a touchdown was the longest by the Lions since S Louis Delmas returned a fumble 65 yards for a score at New Orleans September 13, 2009.

In the game, Lawson finished with 3 tackles, 1 QB hit, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.

QB Matthew Stafford completed 17-of-25 passes for 249 yards with 3 touchdown passes in the Lions’ 38-24 win over Cleveland.

With 3 touchdown passes against the Browns, Stafford, now with 204 career touchdowns, passed Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly (201) and QB Drew Brees (202) for the SIXTH-most touchdown passes in a player’s first nine seasons.

WR GOLDEN TATE
With 6 receptions against the Browns, WR Golden Tate has now recorded 336 receptions since joining the Lions in 2014 as he tied Hall of Fame TE Charlies Sanders (336, 1968-77) for SIXTH on the team’s all-time receptions list.

Tate also surpassed 500 total receptions in his eight-year NFL career. His 40-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter, his last of the game, was the 501st reception he has recorded in the NFL. Tate is the 13th player to record 500+ receptions since 2010.

TE ERIC EBRON
TE Eric Ebron registered 2 receptions for 39 yards against the Browns and scored on a 29-yard touchdown catch to take a 31-24 lead in the fourth quarter. The 29-yarder was the longest touchdown reception of his career, surpassing his previous best of 18 yards at San Diego September 13, 2015.

RB AMEER ABDULLAH
With an 8-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, RB Ameer Abdullah recorded his third rushing touchdown of the 2017 season. Now with 3 rushing touchdowns in 2017, Abdullah has registered a new single-season career high.

WR KENNY GOLLADAY
Rookie WR Kenny Golladay caught 2 passes for 64 yards including a career-long 50-yard reception. Golladay’s 50-yard reception was the longest play of the team’s 4-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that tied the game late in the third quarter.

CB DARIUS SLAY
Late in the fourth quarter, CB Darius Slay ended the Browns’ final scoring threat with an interception in the end zone with 1:23 left to play. Slay’s interception was the 10th of his career and the fourth of the season.

In his fifth season, Slay is now the 16th player since 1991 to record at least 10 interceptions in their first five seasons with the Lions.

Slay recorded 3 pass defenses against Cleveland and now has 61 for his career. He joins CB Bryant Westbrook (69, 1997-2001) and CB Dré Bly (65, 2003-06) as the only Lions players to reach 60+ career pass defenses since 1991.

S TAVON WILSON
S Tavon Wilson recorded the third sack of his career and second this season when he dropped the Browns for an 11-yard loss in the fourth quarter. Wilson’s sack marks the first time in his career where he has totaled at least two sacks in a season.

DE CORNELIUS WASHINGTON
With 2 sacks (11 yards loss) against Cleveland, DE Cornelius Washington set a new career single-game high. Now with two sacks in 2017, Washington has also tied a career single season high, having notched 2 sacks in 2016.

CB QUANDRE DIGGS
CB Quandre Diggs finished the game with 6 total tackles and 1 QB hit. Diggs has now surpassed 100 total tackles (104) for his career. His QB hit was the second of his career.

CB DJ HAYDEN
CB DJ Hayden finished with 2 total tackles. On his first tackle of the game, Hayden logged the 200th tackle of his career.
