August 13 @ 7:10 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

Tigers vs White Sox - BARK AT THE PARK

Tigers vs White Sox – BARK AT THE PARK

After selling out the first ‘Bark at the Park’ nights this season, The Detroit Tigers announced additional dates, Thursday, July 5 vs. the Texas Rangers and Monday, August 13 vs. the Chicago White Sox.

Monday, August 13 vs. Chicago White Sox at 7:10 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

  • The Tigers will be hosting the third of four Bark at the Park Nights at Comerica Park this season. Fans who purchased the Bark at the Park ticket package for August 13 may bring their dogs to the game to enjoy various vendors in Party Deck 1 and the Comfort Zone in Party Deck 2. For the first time this year, Michigan Dog Training Inc. will be included on the Bark at the Park Vendor Deck. The party areas will include doggie “restrooms” and other amenities. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Michigan Human Society. Bark at the Park tickets are still available for Monday’s game vs. the White Sox.
  • Tigers Head Athletic Trainer Doug Teter and his staff will host nearly 100 participants from Detroit PAL to take part in an on-field clinic at Comerica Park, as part of the league-wide PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity among Youth) Campaign in conjunction with the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society, the Taylor Hooton Foundation and the Henry Schein Cares Foundation. The program promotes healthy living by teaching children the importance of staying fit, being active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent childhood obesity. The event also features a session with the Taylor Hooton Foundation on the harmful effects of steroids and performance enhancing substances.
  • Military Veteran’s Program (MVP): Mario Impemba’s salute to those who served – guests from Flat Rock Elks Lodge will be treated to a Detroit Tigers game in a party suite, where they will receive ballpark fare catering, a “MVP” t-shirt and an autographed photo of Tigers broadcaster Mario Impemba.
  • The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Gabriel Sirr, a 16-year-old from Livonia, MI. Gabriel has always loved the Tigers, however, he has never been able to physically see the team play due to being legally blind. Through a GoFundMe campaign, his family raised enough money to purchase specialized glasses which have opened a new world of sight for him. Through a referral from FOX 2, Gabriel will see his favorite team take batting practice and will get to fulfill his dream of watching the Detroit Tigers play following his pre-game festivities.
  • The national anthem will be performed by the 2018 Negro Leagues Weekend Detroit Stars Singing Competition Winner, Ursala Brown.

All participants must provide a copy of all up-to-date vaccinations upon check in (entry will not be granted without this printed information).
