Windsor TFC U-20 Clinic and Tryouts for 2017 League Play.

Toronto FC Technical Director Laurent Guyot and TFC Academy Coach Stuart Neely to Run TFC U-20 Clinic Sessions.

Windsor TFC announced as part of their partnership with Major League Soccer’s Toronto FC, their intent to operate a U-20 program consisting of the finest youth soccer players in the region.

The program will be modeled after the TFC Academy pod structure where U-15 through U-18 players overlap in training sessions and competitions. The clinic/tryout is scheduled over a two day period on August 20 and 21st at the University of Windsor’s Alumni Field.

“We’re truly excited to kick off the next phase of Windsor TFC’s growth with this initiative and look forward to an exciting new chapter in the growth of Windsor TFC,” said Vancho Cirovski, the president of Windsor TFC. “We would like to thank the University of Windsor for hosting and look forward to the clinic presented by Laurent Guyot and Stuart Neely.”

The sessions run from 10:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday, August 20, and from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Sunday August 21.

The cost for the TFC U-20 Clinic is $100. Interested players must register in advance by completing the forms found at the Windsor TFC website.

While there will be other opportunities in the future. Clinic spaces are restricted to 40 participants for this tryout. Successful invitees will be notified by email during the week of August 7.

There will be an information session for interested coaches and players to further explain the U-20 program on Thursday, August 18 at 9:00pm in the Essex County Soccer Association offices at the McHugh Soccer Complex.
