Top-10 Trio Cameron Young, Russell Henley and Xander Schauffele Commit to 2026 Rocket Classic

World No. 30 and 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley also commits to the field, along with past Rocket Classic champions Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau

The Rocket Classic has announced that three of the top 10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking will compete in Detroit this summer, as No. 3 Cameron Young, No. 8 Russell Henley and No. 10 Xander Schauffele, a two-time major champion, have committed to play in the 2026 tournament.

Keegan Bradley, No. 30 and 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup captain, has also committed to the field and will be joined by past Rocket Classic champions Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau.

Detroit’s PGA TOUR tournament will be held at the newly restored Detroit Golf Club for the eighth consecutive year from July 30-Aug. 2.

“Announcing three top-10 players in our first wave is a strong signal that 2026 is shaping up to be the best field in tournament history. After talking with players and their teams, it’s clear the world’s best want to play in Detroit. For fans, that means a chance to get up close to watch elite competition at the highest level. We’ll have more big names to announce in the coming weeks.” – Rocket Classic tournament director Mark Hollis

Young is coming off a six-stroke victory at last week’s Cadillac Championship, vaulting him to his highest world ranking ever. The 28-year-old made a career breakthrough by winning THE PLAYERS Championship in March, his second PGA TOUR win and one of five top-10 finishes this season. He currently sits No. 2 in the U.S. Presidents Cup standings and was a key member of the U.S. team at the 2025 Ryder Cup. He bookended his PLAYERS victory with T3 finishes at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Masters. He has played the Rocket Classic three times, finishing second in 2022 and sixth in 2024.

A five-time PGA TOUR winner, Henley’s most notable victory came at the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational. He currently sits No. 3 in the U.S. Presidents Cup standings and has three top-10 finishes this season, including a T3 at The Masters. He has played the Rocket Classic twice and finished T10 in 2022.

Schauffele has 10 career PGA TOUR wins, including two major titles, at the 2024 PGA Championship and 2024 Open Championship. He is a three-time member of the U.S. team in both the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup, as well as a two-time Olympian who won gold in 2021. He has recorded four top-10 finishes this season and will make his Rocket Classic debut in July.

An eight-time PGA TOUR winner and 2011 PGA Championship titleholder, Bradley also captained the U.S. team at the 2025 Ryder Cup. He has made five appearances at the Rocket Classic, with a best finish of T14 in 2021.

Fowler, a fan favorite and past Rocket Classic champion, delivered one of the tournament’s most memorable finishes in 2023, birdieing the 72nd hole before winning a three-man playoff to secure his first PGA TOUR victory in more than four years. A six-time TOUR winner, he has recorded two top-10 finishes and six top-25 results this season and has competed in the Rocket Classic every year since its debut in 2019.

A six-time PGA TOUR winner, Finau captured the 2022 Rocket Classic for his second victory in as many weeks, following a win at the 3M Open. A three-time member of the U.S. Presidents Cup team and a two-time Ryder Cup participant, he will make his fourth Rocket Classic appearance this summer.

Fans can experience the Rocket Classic and the thoughtfully restored Detroit Golf Club with advance ticket prices up to 50 percent lower than 2025. Grounds tickets for the opening day of play on Thursday, July 30 are $31.30, a nod to Detroit’s 313 area code. Friday’s second round tickets begin at $48, while admission for Saturday and championship Sunday start at $58. Advance pricing is available through June 30, encouraging fans to purchase early for the best value before prices increase to $68 for Thursday and Friday and $78 for Saturday and Sunday. Children 15 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a ticketed adult (up to four per adult).

New parking options for this year’s Rocket Classic will be available at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield and Oakland Mall in Troy, providing added convenience for fans traveling along The Lodge and I-75. The updates to ticket pricing and parking are part of a broader set of fan-focused initiatives all aimed at making the Rocket Classic one of the most accessible and community-centered events on the PGA TOUR.

Since 2019, the Rocket Classic has invested more than $10 million into local charitable organizations, including contributions to the event’s landmark “Changing the Course” initiative, which has played a vital role in bridging the digital divide in Detroit.

Housing Solutions Made for Windsor Future Residential Development Announcement and Roseland Golf Clubhouse Update

$33.5 million investment includes 48 new condominium units as part of “The Residences at Roseland” development and new Roseland Golf Clubhouse

Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens, members of City Council, City administration, Valente Development Corporation, and Bear Construction and Engineering Inc. have announced the third major future development advancing under the City’s Housing Solutions Made for Windsor portfolio.

Through a Prequalification/Expression of Interest process, the joint venture between Valente Development Corporation (Valente) and Bear Construction and Engineering Inc. (Bear) was selected as the successful respondent. The Roseland site is a key property under the City’s Housing Solutions Made for Windsor (HSMFW) strategy, which focuses on making shovel ready municipally owned lands that show high potential for residential housing developments. The HSMFW strategy is aimed at increasing housing supply across Windsor to support current and future growth and development while also supporting the City’s provincial pledge to help facilitate development of 13,000 homes by 2031.

“The Residences at Roseland” – Residential Development

The Valente concept features a traditional architectural design, utilizing materials such as traditional face brick and limestone accents, with colour palettes intended to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding buildings. The development will feature:

A four-storey multi-residential condominium

48 units ranging in size from 700 to 1,555 square feet

A mix of one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom, two-bedroom plus den, and three-bedroom units

Views of the Donald Ross Roseland Golf Course for 80% of the units

83 parking spaces, with 72 of them located below ground

Amenities such as a Golf simulation room, Event room, sauna, secure storage, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and more

Roseland Golf Clubhouse

As part of the announcement, Mayor Dilkens also provided an update on the project to build the new Roseland Clubhouse. In parallel with the residential development by Valente, the City, with Council approval, has retained Bear for the design-build of the new Roseland Golf Clubhouse, which will feature:

An approximately 5,600-square-foot building footprint

Approximately 2,000 square feet of covered patio space

Administrative offices, meeting rooms, golf academy teaching space, food and beverage areas, restrooms, and supporting amenities

The project also includes reconstruction of the parking lot, with over 200 dedicated parking spaces to support golf course and clubhouse operations, and upgrades to the Pro Shop, Halfway Hut and bag drop area, with minimal reworking of the nearby putting green. Bear is working from a modern design that was influenced by resident and user feedback throughout extensive public consultation.

Required site servicing redistribution has been completed to ensure the golf course can remain operational throughout all phases of clubhouse demolition, which is currently underway with a target completion date of August 2026. Valente will begin work on the residential development once demolition of the clubhouse is complete. Substantial completion of the new clubhouse is anticipated for late summer/early fall of 2027. Proceeds of the sale of the residential lands to Valente will be used to fund, in part, the design and construction costs of the new clubhouse by Bear.

“The Residences at Roseland will deliver modern new homes overlooking a beautiful golf course, with access to desirable amenities, within one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in Windsor. These homes will attract new residents as well as those who grew up or laid down roots in the area and are now looking to downsize and age in place without leaving the neighbourhood they love. With this innovative project, one of the most publicly consulted on at the City, we’re Investing Responsibly to minimize impacts on operations at the site and on the surrounding neighbourhood, while working to deliver a final set of buildings — new homes and a modern new clubhouse — that honour the history and importance of Roseland and the character of the surrounding community. This will have positive trickle-down impacts across the broader housing supply in Windsor. Our Housing Solutions Made for Windsor strategy is working. The City is leading, playing an important role in getting more homes built, faster. Within just six months, across only three of our portfolio sites, we have announced investments of over $350 million to create over 480 new homes across the community, and we’re just getting started. On behalf of Council and the City of Windsor, I thank Peter Valente and the teams at Valente Development Corporation, Bear Construction & Engineering Inc., Architecttura Inc. and all project partners for this incredible investment in housing, in rejuvenated facilities and amenities, in quality of life enhancements in South Windsor, and for standing in lockstep with Council as we focus on building our community together.” — Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens

Upcoming Public Open House for “The Residences at Roseland” Development

As part of the planning process for the new residential development, Dillon Consulting will host a public open house to provide information and receive community feedback on the rezoning and official plan amendments. Residents can participate as follows:

In Person: Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex – Hickory Room, 2555 Pulford Street.

Virtual: Advance registration is required by emailing roseland@dillon.ca by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Participants will receive a meeting link via email to participate in the session.

Availability is limited, and fans are urged to purchase parking in advance with their tickets.

The updates to ticket pricing and parking are part of a broader set of fan-focused initiatives to be introduced this year, all aimed at making the Rocket Classic one of the most accessible and community-centered events on the PGA TOUR.

“Fan feedback continues to guide how we evolve the Rocket Classic, and we’ve consistently heard how much convenience matters, especially when it comes to parking. Adding locations at Lawrence Tech and Oakland Mall makes it easier for fans across the metro area to get to the tournament and enjoy the experience. Expanded parking and lower ticket prices mean we’re opening the gates to more people. With the course renovation at Detroit Golf Club set to significantly change how the tournament is played, this year will feel new and exciting, and we want as many fans as possible to be part of it.” – Rocket Classic tournament director Mark Hollis

The Detroit Golf Club has undergone a $16 million restoration that returns the course to Donald Ross’ original 1914 vision while also increasing its level of difficulty. The result is a refreshed, historically authentic layout that offers fans a unique opportunity to watch the world’s best players take on a new challenge.

Grounds tickets offer a front-row seat, allowing guests to follow their favorite golfers throughout the course or relax at viewing decks that are open to fans of all ages to enjoy.
Open House and Survey on Roseland Golf Course Clubhouse Concept

The City of Windsor is moving forward with plans to construct the new Roseland Golf Course Clubhouse, aiming to incorporate current golfing trends into the design and construction of this future golf course amenity.

Roseland offers an 18-hole golf course designed in 1926 by renowned golf course architect Donald J. Ross and constructed in 1927. The property is the centerpiece of the Roseland Park subdivision. The course itself was designated under the provisions of the Ontario Heritage Act in 2003.

The new Roseland Golf Course Clubhouse concept was created by GGA Partners, an international consulting firm and trusted advisor to many of the world’s most successful golf courses, private clubs, resorts, and residential communities. GGA Partners was retained to develop Roseland’s Strategic Business Plan (2019), oversee public consultation on the project (2020), and complete the Clubhouse Feasibility Study (2021).

Approximately $5.7 million is available through the City’s 10-year capital plan for Roseland, with funding to support demolition of the existing clubhouse, site servicing, temporary arrangements for staff during demolition and construction, and the design and construction of the new clubhouse.

Design elements for the new facility will include:

Increased focus on golfing and the golf course

Smaller footprint for the physical building, at approximately 5,500 square feet

One floor

Building oriented towards the golf course and putting green, preserving the putting green and blending seamlessly into the broader site

A move towards covered outdoor seating, in place of traditional indoor seating

Convenient, grab-and-go style food and beverage service

Upgraded washroom facility

Storage facilities and an administrative area

Residents, golfers, user groups and stakeholders are invited to attend an in-person public open house to learn more about the proposed clubhouse design concept and engage with project team members. Those interested can also participate in an online feedback survey (coming July 31, 2025).
