Russia 7, Switzerland 4 – Rogers Arena, Vancouver
- Dmitri Samorukov, Vitali Kravtsov, Grigori Denisenko and Alexander Alexeyev had a goal and an assist apiece to lead the unbeaten Russians, who trailed 2-0 midway through the first period and 3-2 midway through the second before pulling away with a four-goal third.
- Marco Lehmann scored twice for Switzerland, which also got a goal and an assist each from Yannick Bruschweiler and Valentin Nussbaumer.
Slovakia 11, Kazakhstan 2 – Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, Victoria
- Andrej Kollar scored a hat trick and Adam Ruzicka and Marcel Dlugos netted two goals each to lead the offence for Slovakia, which scored twice in the first minute and six times in the first period en route to its first win.
- Artur Gatiyatov had both goals for Kazakhstan, which was outshot 47-18.

- Denmark will be looking for a spot in the quarter-finals, taking on the Czech Republic at 1 p.m. PT at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
- Sweden and Kazakhstan will meet at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria at 3:30 p.m. PT.
- The United States will look to bounce back from an overtime loss to Sweden when it faces Finland at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria at 7:30 p.m. PT.
- Canada will face Russia at 5 p.m. PT at Rogers Arena in Vancouver in a showdown of 3-0 teams with first place in Group A on the line.
