WINDSOR CLIPPERS RECAP MAY 6 2017 – WINDSOR CLIPPERS DOUBLE UP SPARTANS 16-8
May 6, 2017 – The Windsor Clippers took to the road on Saturday night with a trip to St. Catherine’s for a date with the Spartans.
The first period was a bit of a feeling out process with the Spartans taking a 3-2 lead into the break. Chase Kavanaugh and Andrew Garant scored for the Clippers.
The Clippers offence broke loose in the second period as they outscored the Spartans 6-2 in the period to take a 8-5 lead.
Jake Rosa scored twice in the period and singles were scored by Andrew Garant, James Morgan, Phil Ristoski and Chase Kavanaugh.
The third period was all Clippers as Chase Kavanaugh added three more goals, with Jake Rosa, Nathan Salaris, Blain Wallace, Andrew Clark and Andrew Garant all scoring singles. Kavanaugh and Garant each had nine point nights.Jacob Corra earned the win in goal for the Clippers with 21 saves.
Next up for the Clippers is a rematch with the Wallaceburg Red Devils at Forest Glade arena on Sunday night. Game time is 7:00 pm.
