El-Turk Steps Down From St. Clair Women’s Volleyball

The St. Clair College Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced that Jimmy El-Turk has stepped down as the head coach of the women’s volleyball program.

El-Turk just finished up his 7th season at St. Clair compiling a regular season record of 83-34 and a playoff record of 9-9. Under his leadership the Saints women qualified for the playoffs in all seven seasons and won the OCAA Bronze Medal in 2017-18 and in 2019-20.

He was named the OCAA West Division Coach of the Year in 2018-19 and 2019-20 and was the OCAA overall coach of the year in 2018-19.

El-Turk coached multiple OCAA and CCAA All Stars and academic award winners during his time with the Saints.

“We would like to thank Jimmy for his incredible 7 years at the helm of our women’s volleyball program. His coaching record speaks for itself and he leaves the program in a great spot”, stated Athletic Director Christina Gatto. “Our team has been in contention for a provincial medal annually and been nationally ranked many times during his tenure. We wish Jimmy all the best in his future endeavors.”
