The Detroit Lions announced today that they have re-signed DT Tyrunn Walker.

Contract terms were not disclosed , but NFL Network has reported the deal could be worth as much as $2.25 million, including incentives.

Walker joined the Lions in 2015 following a three-year stint (2012-14) with the New Orleans Saints. He played in four games for Detroit (four starts) and posted nine tackles (five solo) before being placed on Reserve/Injured for the remainder of the season.

An undrafted rookie free agent out of Tulsa in 2012, Walker’s career totals include 27 games (five starts), 37 tackles (23 solo), 3.5 sacks, one pass defense and one forced fumble.

The Lions still need to sign four of their top defensive tackles from last season.

NFL Free Agency begins next Wednesday.
