The third period was marked with penalties and more scoring. The Red Wings capitalized on a man advantage, with Dylan Larkin scoring a power-play goal. The Red Wings further closed the gap with J.T. Compher’s snap shot, making it a close 5-4 game.

Despite the Red Wings’ comeback, the Stars held on, closing the game with a 5-4 win and extending their win streak over the Red Wings to seven games.
