After going 2-1 at the Dalhousie University Tournament in late December and winning a pair of games at the George Brown College Tournament Jan. 5-6, the St. Clair Men (8-2, West 1st Place) still hold the 11th spot in the most recent CCAA poll. Fanshawe (6-5, West 6th Place) are coming off a road win at Lambton last week which has improved their playoff standing but fell 96-49 in early November to the Saints.
St. Clair have five double digit scorers led by 5th year 6’4” forward Chad Vincent-Simon (Scarborough, ON) who is producing top-10 provincial scoring at 17.2ppg (8th OCAA) to go with 6.3 rebounds per game. 1st year guard Andrew Loyuk (Windsor, ON/Kennedy) is dropping in 13.5ppg and leads St. Clair with 4.8 assists per game. 5th year 6’3″ guard Jesiah Deerr (Whitby, ON) is close behind at 13.4ppg including a team best 20 triples on the year.
