The Spitfires AM800 CKLW renew broadcast agreement through the 2017-18 season.

“The Voice of the Spitfires” Mike Miller returns to call all 68 regular season games and exciting Spitfires playoff action as the Windsor Spitfires AM800 CKLW have renewed a broadcast agreement taking them through the 2018-19 season.

Colour analyst Frank Dayus IV also returns, providing insightful Spitfires AM800 analysis during all Spitfire home games, with veterans Steve Bell and Paul McDonald handling pregame duties at the WFCU Centre. Millsy takes his show on the road solo, bringing all the action of Spitfires hockey into thousands of homes across Windsor & Essex County from every city in the OHL.

“We’re looking forward to another two years of great Spitfire broadcasts on AM800 CKLW,” said Spitfires Director of Business Development Steve Horne. “Mike Miller brings a wealth of experience to the booth and his entertaining approach has become a staple with our fans. With Steve, Paul and Frank, the quality of on-air talent is second to none in the league.” AM800 CKLW Program Director Keith Chinnery says it’s a valued relationship.

“We are very happy to continue our partnership with such a respected and well-run organization as the Windsor Spitfires,” Chinnery said. “The games always attract a big audience to AM800, thanks in part to the talented broadcast crew that collectively has been involved in thousands of OHL games. Every season is special and unique in its own way. But, obviously, this one even more so with the Spits set to host the MasterCard Memorial Cup in May. We look forward to bringing that experience and excitement to hockey fans in Windsor Essex and across the country.” The first broadcast of the 2016-17 season airs Thursday, September 22nd, as the Spitfires open the season and their home schedule hosting the Erie Otters.
