2017 TIGERS WINTER CARAVAN READY TO ROLL

Tigers Players, Manager, Coaches, Broadcasters and PAWS to visit fans throughout Michigan

The 2017 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan in partnership with Visit Central Florida, is set for Thursday, January 19 and Friday, January 20, and features an exciting lineup of stops throughout the state of Michigan. Tigers Executive Vice President, Baseball Operations and General Manager Al Avila, Executive Vice President, Business Operations Duane McLean, Vice President, Assistant General Manager David Chadd, Special Assistant to the General Manager Alan Trammell, Manager Brad Ausmus, coaches, players, broadcasters, and Detroit’s favorite mascot PAWS, will take part in a two-day journey across the region, spreading baseball fever to fans of all ages.

The 2017 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan will be making nearly 30 stops throughout the region, including three new destinations. The Metro Bus will visit the Farmington Public Safety Department and Selfridge Air National Guard Base to name a few, while the West Bus will debut at the Michigan State Police Headquarters.

Thursday, January 19

Detroit Symphony Orchestra                                                                                                                1:05-2:00 p.m.

  • Al Avila, Executive Vice President, Baseball Operations & General Manager and Tigers players will tour backstage of the orchestra hall and participate in the opening day of Mozart Fest.
  • DSO will highlight the Piano Sonata Marathon during a brief show and tell with a performer and a Tigers player.
  • Tigers to present a framed jersey to the DSO in honor of Mozart’s 261st birthday.
  • Q&A session with Tigers personnel followed by a raffle drawing.

  • Caravan personnel will be celebrity servers.
  • Validated parking in One Campus Martius parking structure.

1845 East Big Beaver Rd., Troy

  • DTI players will take pictures with fans who arrive with canned goods to help feed those struggling with hunger.
  • All canned goods to be donated to the Salvation Army.

  • Private meet and greet with Dreams Come True Guests, members of the Detroit Tigers Kids Club and Clarenceville High School students and staff.
  • Interactive, energetic event for kids that will include games and raffle.
  • Prizes and face painting.

North American International Auto Show                                                                                  2:45-3:45 p.m.

One Washington Blvd., Detroit

  • Players participate in daily “Cars on Parade” Auto Show parade.
  • Players participate in a round table question and answer session in the Chevrolet display area.
  • The Men of Mariner’s Inn will be in attendance.
