GOLD: 1
SILVER: 4
BRONZE: 7
TOTAL: 12

DAY 6 RESULTS AND DAY 7 SCHEDULE:

Canada has won four medals (2 silver, 2 bronze) on Day 6 at Beijing 2022. Matches Turin 2006 (2 silver, 2 bronze) for the most number of medals won on a Day 6.

ALPINE SKIING – Jack Crawford won Canada’s first-ever Olympic medal in the men’s alpine combined event. Alpine combined (one downhill run + one slalom run) replaced the combined (one downhill run + two slalom runs) starting at Vancouver 2010.

FREESTYLE SKIING – Marion Thénault, Miha Fontaine and Lewis Irving won bronze in the Olympic debut of the mixed team aerials event. It is Canada’s first Olympic aerials medal since Veronica Brenner and Deidra Dionne won silver and bronze, respectively, in the women’s event at Salt Lake City 2002.

SNOWBOARD – Eliot Grondin won Canada’s second-ever Olympic medal in men’s snowboard cross. The other was also a silver won by Mike Robertson at Vancouver 2010.
Brooke D’Hondt (16), Team Canada’s youngest athlete at Beijing 2022, made her Olympic debut on Day 5 and placed 10th in women’s snowboard halfpipe.

SPEED SKATING – Isabelle Weidemann won her second medal at Beijing 2022 – it is Canada’s first medal in the women’s 5000m long track speed skating event since Vancouver 2010. She is only the third Canadian ever to win a medal in the women’s 5000m event (Clara Hughes, Cindy Klassen).

COVID-19 UPDATE – Currently none of the 495 members of the Team Canada delegation in Beijing are in COVID-19 isolation.
