Windsor Spitfires Hammer Oshawa Generals

Jeremiah Addison scored two goals and added an assist and Michael DiPietro made 26 saves as the Windsor Spitfires hammered the Oshawa Generals 7-1 at the WFCU Centre Thursday night.

Addison, (tonight’s Spitfire In Play! as chosen by the Windsor Spitfires) who was making his return to the Windsor lineup after missing a month due to a bruised lung and paced the Spitfires (33-12-5-2) offensively while Cristiano DiGiacinto, Adam Laishram, Sean Day, Aaron Luchuk and Mikhail Sergachev all added single goals. Jeremy Bracco chipped in with a pair of assists.

Jack Studnicka of Tecumseh had the lone goal for the Generals (30-16-3-2).

Oshawa starting netminder Jeremy Broduer was pulled in the second period after allowing four goals on 14 shots. He was replaced by Kyle Keyser who made 10 saves in a relief effort.

The Spitfires schedule has them off on a rare Friday night before they return to action on the road when they travel to Hamilton to take on the Bulldogs Saturday night.
