Congrats to Saints women’s volleyball head Coach Jimmy El-Turk on leading his Team Ontario 16U girls team to Gold at the National Team Challenge Cup (NTCC) in Richmond BC this past week

After eight days of development training, two days of team training and seven matches the team went 7-0 in the tournament and 21-3 in sets won/lost against the top female players from across Canada.

Coach El-Turk is particularly proud of his team, “I am honored to have had the chance to coach this group of players. The girls set their own standard of performance that Jen (assistant coach) and I held them accountable to. In tough moments, our team as a whole met and exceeded those standards, always rising to the occasion and playing our best late in sets and matches. This standard of performance was critical in our last two matches to win it all.”
