MIRACLE LEAGUE OF RIVERSIDE BASEBALL TO OPEN REGISTRATION FOR INAUGURAL SEASON
Call for Players and Volunteers has Commenced
The Miracle League of Riverside Baseball has opened registration for its inaugural season online.
Registration will be two-fold with both a call for players and volunteers. A nominal $45 fee for players applies.
“We are excited to finally kickoff this league. Unfortunately with the pandemic we’ve had to push this back two years. Everyone involved was disappointed for the players, but now we feel like we are in a place where the risks are manageable, and we can create an experience that our players will truly enjoy.”
Jason Dupuis, Miracle League Commissioner
Volunteers who sign-up will be assigned to fulfill a myriad of duties and GameDay responsibilities but will also fill unique roles in the League’s Buddy program. The role of a Buddy puts the volunteer directly on the diamond and gives them the opportunity to work one-on-one with a player to enable their experience while providing encouragement in an all-inclusive environment.
“Volunteers will play a critical role both in-game and in preparation.” says Dupuis “We encourage everyone in the community, and local businesses to participate in our Buddy program to support the League’s participants. It really will take he whole community to make this league a success, and we know this community will deliver”
The Miracle League of Riverside Baseball will begin play on Saturday, May 14, 2022 on The Solcz Family Foundation Field at Farrow Riverside Miracle Park. (A rain day of Sunday, March 15, 2022 is in place as a contingency)
