Owen Sound Attack, Attack the Spitfires

Jonah Gadjovich scored three goals as the streaking Owen Sound Attack hammered the Windsor Spitfires 5-1 at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Arena in Owen Sound Saturday night.

The win was the Attack’s ninth consecutive in a row and second in two games against the Spitfires this season.

Ethan Szypula and Matt Schmalz had the other goals for the Attack (25-13-1-0) while Gabriel Vilardi scored the lone goal for the Spitfires (25-8-4-1). Owen Sound defenceman Santino Centorame also chipped in with four assists on the night.

Montreal Canadiens prospect Michael McNiven made 20 saves for the Attack to pick up the win in net while Michael DiPietro made 36 stops at the other end for Windsor.

The Spitfires are now off until after Tuesday’s Ontario Hockey League trade deadline, the Spitfires schedule has them return to action Thursday night when they host the Kitchener Rangers for the second time this month at the WFCU Centre.
