Run For Windsor 2026

Run for Windsor 2026 (RFW) is an annual community run/walk that unites Windsor and Essex County in support of our local healthcare system. Every dollar raised goes directly toward improving healthcare for families and future generations. To date, RFW has contributed nearly $110,000 toward the future Fancsy Family Hospital, part of the upcoming Windsor‑Essex Regional Hospital system.

Each year, the event attracts 500+ participants, including families, youth, seniors, corporate teams, and community groups. Local dignitaries such as Mayor Drew Dilkens regularly attend, highlighting the importance of this community‑driven initiative. RFW provides an excellent opportunity for individuals and businesses to showcase their spirit, talent, and brand in a friendly, inclusive environment.

Participants can choose between a 5K run/jog or a 1K walk, making the event accessible to all fitness levels. Medals are awarded to males and females in multiple age categories, including under 15, over 50, and open. First, second, and third place finishers in each category receive medals, along with special recognition for the youngest and oldest 5K finishers.

Registration is $25 for individuals and $80 for a group of four, keeping the event affordable for families and teams. Donations are warmly welcomed — no contribution is too small, and every dollar helps strengthen healthcare in our region.

The 6th Annual Run for Windsor 2026 takes place on September 19th at the scenic Malden Park, offering a beautiful setting for participants to run, walk, and celebrate community togetherness.
