St. Clair Volleyball Teams 2023 Home Opener

The St. Clair College women’s and men’s volleyball teams will open their OCAA home schedule on Thursday night at the Sportsplex.

Both teams will be taking on the Redeemer University Royals.

The women will take to the floor at 5 pm. St. Clair is 1-0 on the season after defeating Conestoga on the road 3-0 last Friday. The St. Clair women are currently ranked 4th in the OCAA. Redeemer is currently 1-1 on the season.

The St. Clair women have a great mixture of several returning players and six rookies on the roster this year. Some of the key returnees are All Canadian Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders) along with setter Emma Clements (Windsor; Holy Names), middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Marantha) and libero Mikayla Stocks (LaSalle; Sandwich)

The men’s match will start at 7 pm. St. Clair is 0-1 after dropping a nailbiter in 5 sets to Conestoga. Redeemer is 1-1 on the season. The Saints are expected to be led offensively by returning second year player Kale Wilkinson (Windsor; Riverside) and rookie Arthur Richard (Woodstock; Woodstock Collegiate). Setter Nick Kwiatkowski (Essex; Essex District) is expected to have an impact as well.
