GARANT SETS NEW CLIPPERS SCORING RECORD
Andrew Garant scored three goals and added five assists for the Clippers. Garant’s eight points makes him the all time Clippers scoring leader, eclipsing the record set by Logan Holmes last season. Holmes has 493 career points, and Garant surpassed Holmes with his fifth point of the night, and now sits at 498 career points. Garant is poised to become the first Clipper to shatter the 500 point mark with two regular season games remaining plus playoffs.
The Windsor Clippers defeated the Wallaceburg Red Devils 20-7 on Tuesday night to earn a share of first place in the Far West division with the Red Devils. The Clippers hold the tie breaker between the two teams in the event hey remain tied at the end of the season.
Chase Kavanaugh and Dylan Riley each scored five goals and five assists to lead the Clippers onslaught. Andrew Garant scored three goals and added five assists for the Clippers. Rookie Jake Rosa scored three goals and three assists as well for the Clippers tonight. Singles were scored by Austin Thompson, Noah Bushnell, Brendan Wallace and Blain Wallace.
Joel Evans earned the victory in goal for the Clippers with a 39 save performance.
The Clippers next home game is this Thursday night when we host the Point Edward Pacers. Game time is 8:00 pm. The Clippers will close out the regular season on Sunday afternoon in London against the Blue Devils. Game time is 2:00 pm
