Green Giants Recap July 14 – Green Giants Roll Over Leprechauns
After a week of cancelled games due to rain and storms, the St. Clair Green Giants scored a 10-3 win over the Irish Hills Leprechauns Friday night.
The win improves their record to 17-13 and puts them in second place in their division.
Led by another good outing by starting pitcher Hunter Brown the Green Giants offense did their damage early.
St. Clair scored 1 run in the first, 5 in the second and 4 in the third to jump out to a commanding 10-1 lead after 3 innings.
Offensively the Green Giants were led by Nick Howie who went 2-5 with 2 runs and 3 RBI.
The Green Giants will be back at home Saturday as they wrap up their two game set with the Leprechauns at Tecumseh’s Lacasse Park.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
Saturday’s game is the final game before the league all star break next week.
