J.J. Spaun and Patrick Cantlay Commit to Rocket Classic

The player field for the 2026 Rocket Classic is only getting stronger, as 2025 U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun and eight-time PGA TOUR winner Patrick Cantlay have committed to play in the event.

Spaun’s victory at last year’s U.S. Open was his second PGA victory, and he added a third this year at the Valero Texas Open. He is 13th in the Official World Golf Ranking, with four top-10 finishes in 2026. This year will mark his seventh appearance at the Rocket Classic, where he has finished 13th or better three times.

Cantlay is ranked 38th in the world on the strength of eight top-25 finishes in 15 events this season. He has played the Rocket Classic twice and tied for second in 2022.

The Rocket Classic will return to Detroit Golf Club for its eighth consecutive year, July 30 – August 2, bringing the PGA TOUR’s top players back to Detroit.
