The Kings are proud to announce the addition of Callum Hofford, Robert Lis, and David Vostarek.
Hofford most recently spent the last three years playing junior ‘A’ hockey in the BCHL and CCHL. The 1994 Defensman from Komoka, Ontario put up 16 goals and 50 assists for 66 points in 149 games junior ‘A’ games. Callum is also a OHL and USHL Draft pick who is expected to be a leader on the blue line for the Kings.
Lis comes to the kings from most recently playing for Växjö Lakers who play in the SuperElit league; which is the top junior league in Sweden; arguably the top junior league in Europe as it has produced many players that have gone onto the NHL.
The 1997 forward had 5 goals and 3 assist for 8 points in 25 games this season while he has also represented his home country of Czech Republic with the U18 National Team.
Vostarek comes to the Kings from HC Litinov U20 in the Czech Extra League. The 1996 Defenseman also spent time playing games with the Czech national junior team. Vostarek is a crafty defenseman with has an offensive side. He is reliable in all three zones of the ice and will be heavily relied on player for the Kings.
Coach Astalos went on to say “We are happy to have our final roster set for playoffs. We waited a long time and had quite a few kids skate until we decided with the final three we would add. A tremendous amount of thanks to our scouting and hockey staff for the help that went into this.
All three players will make an immediate impact to our core group of guys. We have a great group of guys in our lockeroom that compete hard; who are also a great group off the ice as well. We look forward to making our playoff push”.
The Kings are currently 31-2-0 with only four home games remaining. The Kings will be on the road tomorrow to take on the Halton Ravens!
