Knights Blank Windsor Spitfires Oct 14
Tyler Parsons had to make just 18 saves as the London Knights blanked the Windsor Spitfires 4-0 at the Budweiser Gardens in London Friday night.
Max Jones paced the Knights (4-1-1-1) offensively with a goal and two assists while Cliff Pu, Victor Mete and Janne Kuokkanen had the other goals for London.
The Spitfires (7-3-0) vaunted powerplay, which came into the game clicking at an Ontario Hockey League-leading 37.8 %, could not get on track against their arch-rivals from up the 401. The Knights did cash in on two of their four opportunities while playing with the man advantage.
The loss snapped the Spitfires’ four-game winning streak and Mario Culina made 35 saves in losing for the first time on the road in four games this season.
The Spitfires are now off until next Thursday night when they host the Kingston Frontenacs at the WFCU Centre.
