BARKOV, ERIKSSON AND KOPITAR VOTED LADY BYNG TROPHY FINALISTS

The NHL announced that Aleksander Barkov of the Florida Panthers, Loui Eriksson of the Boston Bruins and Anze Kopitar of the Los Angeles Kings are the three finalists for the 2015-16 Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, awarded “to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability.”

FEHR BURNS FORMER TEAM AS PENGUINS EVEN SERIES WITH CAPITALS
Eric Fehr – who spent nine seasons with the Capitals over two stints with the club before joining the Penguins in 2015-16 – scored the game-winning goal with 4:28 remaining in regulation to propel the Penguins to a Game 2 victory, evening their Second Round series 1-1.

Fehr, who was drafted 18th overall by the Capitals in the 2003 NHL Draft, spent nine of his first 10 NHL seasons with the club recording 87-87—174 in 419 regular-season games and 5-1—6 in 37 postseason contests. Fehr who scored his first goal against his former club (regular-season and playoffs) – registered his second career game-winning goal in the postseason, both of which have been scored in the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs (also Game 4 of FR at NYR).

Matt Murray (23 SV) improved to 11-1 in his last 12 decisions dating to March 6 (regular-season and playoffs), including a 4-1 record in five starts during the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs (1.74 GAA, .939 SV%, 1 SO).

Evgeni Malkin (0-1—1) provided the primary assist on Fehr’s winner and has collected at least one point in all six games since making his return to the Penguins lineup in Game 2 of the First Round vs. NYR (3-6—9).

JOHNSON LEADS LIGHTNING CHARGE, EVENS SERIES WITH ISLANDERS
Tyler Johnson (2-1—3) factored on three of his team’s four goals to help the Lightning win Game 2 and even their Second Round series with the Islanders at 1-1.
