Join Lakeshore for Free Skate and Swim Events Throughout the Holiday Season

Hit the ice or take a splash this holiday season with Lakeshore’s lineup of free skate and swim events happening at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre (447 Renaud Line Road).

The schedule of events, which are sponsored by Pathway to Potential, is as follows:

• Free skates will be hosted on December 26, 27, 28, and 29 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
• Two free swim sessions, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM and 7:00 to 8:00 PM, will be hosted on December 23 and 30.

Pre-registration is required for the free swim sessions as space is limited. Check out the full list of open swim sessions and register online.

“We’ll be hopping with holiday activities throughout the week, and we’re excited to welcome individuals of all ages and abilities to the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre,” said Frank Jeney, Lakeshore’s Division Leader – Community Service. “Join us for a free skate or swim, and don’t forget to ring in 2023 with our family-friendly New Year’s Eve festivities and fireworks!”

On Saturday, December 31, Lakeshore will host free swimming, basketball, and ice-skating sessions throughout the day. The event will be capped off with a free firework show starting at 6:30 PM in the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre parking lot.
