Windsor Lancers men’s volleyball head coach James Gravelle announce commitment of five talented athletes to 2016-17 recruiting class including local products Marc Pineault and Dami Alalade.
The Windsor Lancers are also excited to welcome Adam Child, Nolan Langley and Pierce Johnson.
“These athletes are going to make us bigger and much more athletic moving forward,” said Gravelle. “The depth and competitiveness of this team just went up.”

Child, a 6’5 left side from the Leaside Volleyball Club and Greenwood College out of Toronto, has great all-around volleyball skills and is a very smart player, according to Gravelle. He will study Human Kinetics in the fall.
Joining the Lancers as a setter, Langley comes to Windsor from the Aurora Storm Volleyball club and Uxbridge Secondary School, and will study Criminology in the fall. “Nolan is a fierce competitor and excellent decision maker as a setter,” said Gravelle. “He has very good defense and strong float and spin serves.”
A native of Chatham, Ontario, Johnson is a physical player that comes to the Blue & Gold from the London Fire Volleyball Club. A strong blocker and accurate server, Pierce has been accepted into the Liberal Arts program.
The Blue & Gold also add two local products from St. Joseph’s High School. Both Marc Pineault and Dami Alalade play at the middle blocker position, while Alalade also contributes at left side. The duo led the Lasers to a WECSSAA AA title this past fall and will both study in the faculty of Engineering.
