Logan Brown’s hat-trick lifted the Spitfires to a 4-3 decision over the Greyhounds at The Essar Centre on Sunday afternoon.

The win moved Windsor (36-18-6-0) back into first place in the West Division, pending the outcome of the Sarnia-Guelph game at the RBC Centre later tonight.

After Boris Katchouk (23) cut the Windsor lead to 3-2 at 8:26 of the third period, Brown scored his third of the game and the eventual game winner less than two minutes later. Mario Culina did the rest, making 21 saves for his second win in as many tries in his hometown.

Mikhail Sergachev added a pair of assists, as the Spitfires won their fifth straight game.

After a day off Monday, the Spits will go back to work in preparation for a trio of games this week – at Sarnia (Friday), at home to North Bay (Saturday) and Kingston (Sunday).
