2021 Masters Champion Hideki Matsuyama Commits to 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club

Matsuyama, an eight-time winner on the PGA TOUR, is currently 26th in the Official World Golf Ranking. He has played the Rocket Mortgage Classic three of the past four years, registering two top-25 finishes.

Other players within the top 50 who have recently committed include Sungjae Im (19), Chris Kirk (38), K.H. Lee (48) and Taylor Moore (50). The Rocket Mortgage Classic now has 12 of the top 50 players in the world rankings committed, including eight within the top 30.

The majority of the tournament’s 156-player field will be confirmed as final on Friday, June 23, with the likely addition of final player exemptions to complete the field just before the beginning of tournament
week. Four players will earn entry through an open qualifier on Monday, June 26.
