New Boutique Yoga Studio Brings Small Business Fitness To South Windsor
It’s no secret that when you support a small business, you’re investing in a dream. Tucked away in the iconic Yorktown Plaza, Strong Body Yoga & Fitness Studio is ready to make their dreams a reality and give South Windsorites what they’ve been asking for; an independently owned fitness studio to compete with the big gyms in their area.
Windsor’s newest boutique yoga and fitness studio is set to open in South Windsor at the beginning of May and owner Samantha Menzies is excited to bring her unique classes to an area of the city that could use a stronger small business presence. An avid supporter of small businesses herself, Samantha understands the value they add to communities and the neighbourhoods that they service. While owning a business may come with many trials and tribulations, she knows that she can offer what no other big gym can; community and a sense of belonging.
“Building relationships with my members is so important to me,” says Samantha. “Strong Body is much more than a brand, it’s a safe place for people of all shapes and sizes to discover their potential and hone their strength.”
Samantha believes that the healthiest lifestyle incorporates a variety of different movement modalities so Strong Body covers: mind/body fitness through yoga, elemental movement, and pilates; strength training through sculpt and HIIT; as well as cardio through zumba and step. The studio will offer drop-in rates, class passes, and memberships so you can find the option that works best for your schedule. With a suite of yoga and fitness classes that are custom crafted by experienced, professional instructors, you’ll be motivated and challenged to reach your full potential with every single visit.

Samantha’s core training was done in the vinyasa tradition with world renowned yogi Jonny Kest and she has since done hundreds of hours of additional training with a variety of teachers both locally and internationally. She specializes in teaching Power Flow Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Yoga for Athletes and Sports Teams and says her teaching style is all about empowering. It centres on building strength and mobility with an equal emphasis on physiology and fun. Her team of powerhouse instructors will offer all your favourites as well as new and exciting classes to keep you coming back for more.
Samantha and her team welcome you out to the studio’s Grand Opening weekend May 5-7 in the Yorktown Plaza.
