NHL Announces 32 Players Named to 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend and Expanded Fan Vote
2023 NHL All-Star Fan Vote presented by Guaranteed Rate Lets Fans Complete Rosters With 12 All-Star Selections; Voting Now Open
The National Hockey League today announced 32 players named to the four divisional rosters for the 2023 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend as well as the launch of the 2023 NHL All-Star Fan Vote™ presented by Guaranteed Rate which will enable fans to complete the All-Star rosters by selecting 12 additional All-Stars. Voting is now open at NHL.com/vote and via the NHL® App.
The 32 All-Stars named today – seven skaters and one goaltender for each of the four divisional rosters – were selected by the NHL’s Hockey Operations Department. One player was selected from each NHL team.
Below are the current rosters for each All-Star team, which ultimately will consist of 11 total players (nine skaters and two goaltenders) per squad:

2023 NHL® All-Star Fan Vote
The 2023 NHL® All-Star Fan Vote™ presented by Guaranteed Rate will enable fans to complete the All-Star rosters by selecting 12 additional All-Stars – two skaters and one goaltender for each of the four All-Star teams. Click here for player eligibility guidelines.
Fans will select 50% more players to the All-Star Game under this expanded program. In 2022, eight players qualified for the All-Star Game via fan vote: one captain and one ‘last man in’ per team.
Online Voting
Online voting for the 2023 NHL® All-Star Fan Vote™ presented by Guaranteed Rate is now open at NHL.com/vote and closes on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Fans will be permitted to select as few as one player and a maximum of 12 players per online ballot. The maximum number of ballots cast per 24-hour period for each fan is 10.
The NHL All-Star Fan Vote experience was developed in conjunction with Low6, an NHL free to play provider.
How to vote online:
- NHL.com/vote features interactive ballots available in eight languages – English, French, Czech, Finnish, German, Slovak, Spanish and Swedish – and accessible anywhere in the world.
- The NHL App offers fans a mobile interactive ballot that is available on most devices.
Twitter Voting
The 2023 NHL® All-Star Fan Vote™ presented by Guaranteed Rate also features a Twitter vote for the first time. The Twitter vote will take place over three days, from Thursday, Jan. 12, at 12:01 a.m. ET to Saturday, Jan. 14, at 11:59 p.m. ET. All Twitter votes will be combined with online vote totals.
How to vote on Twitter:
- Each fan tweet must include the complete hashtag “#NHLAllStarVote” followed by a player’s full name or a player’s Twitter handle. Only referencing a last name will not count.
- Each fan must have an active and public Twitter account.
- Types of eligible tweets: standalone tweets, retweets, reply tweets, quote tweets
