NHL NEWS DEC 23 – JAGR PASSES MESSIER FOR SECOND PLACE ON ALL-TIME POINTS LIST
Jaromir Jagr (755-1,133—1,888) notched an assist on Florida’s lone goal in their 3-1 loss to Boston last night to pick up his 1,888th career point and move past Mark Messier (694-1,193—1,887) into sole possession of second place on the NHL’s all-time points list.
Jagr, who has collected 2-6—8 in his past nine games, registered the milestone point while skating in his 1,663rd NHL game, 93 fewer than Messier (1,756) played in his career.
