FESTIVITIES FOR 2016 NHL HERITAGE CLASSIC BEGINS
Festivities for the 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic (Sunday at 3 p.m. ET) kicked into full gear on Friday, when Jets and Oilers alumni each practiced at MTS Centre ahead of the 2016 Rogers NHL Heritage Classic Alumni Game (4 p.m. ET) this afternoon.

NHL MUSINGS
- Blackhawks forward Richard Panik (1-1—2) has compiled 5-2—7 in five games this season, compared to 6-2—8 in 2015-16 (30 GP)
- Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun (0-1—1) has collected a point in all three games to begin his NHL career (1-2—3)
- Blackhawks forward Tyler Motte scored the first goal of his NHL career (5 GP)
- Blue Jackets forward Lukas Sedlak, a sixth-round selection (158th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft, made his League debut
- The Department of Player Safety suspended Flyers forward Dale Weise for three games for an illegal check to the head of Ducks defenseman Korbinian Holzer
- Five different skaters scored to help the Red Wings pick up their third consecutive victory. Petr Mrazek (30 SV) improved to 4-0-0 in four career appearances against the club (2.74 GAA, .913 SV%).
