Count Her In Sports Calls for Award Nominations Ahead of June 21st Event at Pelee Island Winery

Count Her In Sports is thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for our Annual Awards Ceremony, taking place at the Count Her In Sports Celebration on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Pelee Island Winery.

These awards shine a light on the remarkable female athletes and coaches in our community—those who lead with heart, persevere through challenge, and uplift others through the power of sport. We’re inviting the public to submit nominations immediately to help us recognize excellence, grit, and teamwork in six inspiring categories:

• $1,000 Count Her In Legacy Bursary (Sponsored by: Dynamic Funds)
  Celebrating a student-athlete who excels in both athletics and academics, while demonstrating leadership, drive, and the promise to make a lasting impact.
• $1,000 Team of the Year (Sponsored by: Fidelity)
  Honouring a female team that exemplifies unity, community impact, and collective spirit—with funds to celebrate their achievements together.
• Teammate of the Year (Sponsored by: Desjardins Tecumseh Branch)
  Recognizing a player who uplifts others with empathy, positivity, and an unwavering commitment to her teammates’ success.
• The Rising Star (Sponsored by: Hopetown Dental)
  Highlighting a talented and determined athlete, age 12 or under, who shows incredible promise and passion for her sport.
• Perseverance Award (Sponsored by: EYES by Dr. Abby Jakob)
  Honouring the brave journey of an athlete who has overcome adversity with grace, courage, and unshakable resilience.
• Coach of the Year
  Celebrating a coach who mentors, motivates, and creates an inclusive space for girls to grow, thrive, and believe in themselves.
