St. Clair College and the Department of Athletics have 66 varsity athletes that have received the prestigious OCAA All Academic Award.
This award is presented to full time varsity student-athletes that have met the Honours standard at their respective institution, having successfully completed one academic semester. A student can only receive recognition once even though they may have participated in a two semester sport and achieved honours in both semesters.
Even more astounding for St. Clair is that over one third of all of their varsity athletes earned this award.
“St. Clair College is extremely proud of our student-athletes for achieving this award. The fact that over one third of our varsity athletes achieved honours this past year is a tribute to the quality of student athletes that we have and continue to attract into our programs. This would not be possible without the support of our coaches, faculty, support staff and academic advisors,” – VP Ron Seguin
For the OCAA winter semester, over 110 student-athletes will receive awards. This is in addition to the over 725 student-athletes that previously received awards for their grades in the fall semester. Included in this group are five of the 63 OCAA student-athletes that were named Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) academic all-Canadians.
Honourees attain academic honours at their institution in addition to obtaining specific athletic benchmarks.
The following is a list of St. Clair College student-athletes who received OCAA all-academic awards.
