Orenthal James OJ Simpson Parole Hearing Took Place Before the Nevada Parole Board Today

A thinner and gray haired Simpson was asked many questions during his parole board hearing and gave extremely long winded and rambling answers at times.

Simpson had a consistent theme throughout his hearing, and that was to basically blame the armed robbery on the two “Security guys” he brought with him and that if he didn’t bring them, “We wouldn’t be here today.” “I should have never allowed these security guards to help me.”

When asked what he was thinking, Simpson stated, “Nobody has ever accused me of pulling a weapon on them,” and that, “I didn’t see any guns.” He went on to say, “I would never condone what happened.” But, audio tapes of the robbery completely contradict this. OJ can be clearly heard on those tapes telling his accomplices to, “Bring the guns, bring the heat.” OJ’s own trial attorney said OJ told him he knew there was guns involved! Simpson had this to say about his accomplices, “They got a get out of jail card free.”

OJ went on to say, “I’m a good Christian,” and, “Always lived a conflict free life.” One has to wonder if being convicted of beating your wife and the police being called to your house on nine separate occasions constitutes, “Conflict free.”

When asked why he didn’t take the substance abuse course in prison he replied, “I’ve never had an alcohol or substance abuse problem.” When asked what is the most important course he has taken, he replied, “The Alternative to Violence course.”

As part of his conviction Simpson was ordered to pay $3,560 in restitution and return 12 Joe Montana lithographs to the victim. The parole board asked if he had met these obligations, Simpson replied, “I was unaware of the restitution.”

When asked why he should be paroled and not finish out his sentence in prison he replied “I have four kids, I have always been a giving guy. I’ve done my time, I have not complained in nine years.”

Simpson basically blamed everybody else, continued to profess what great guy he is and that he didn’t know it was an armed robbery until after the fact, despite the fact this all occurred in a hotel room.

During his final address to the parole board, Simpson showed little remorse, deflected blame and steered clear of the facts. The only thing of substance he had to say in summary was that he told the warden of Lovelock Correctional Center that that “I won’t be a problem,” and “I will honor what the jury said.”

Ironically, a jury awarded the Goldman and Brown family $33.5M in the wrongful death of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. The Goldman’s have been chasing the Juice ever since trying to collect this judgement. OJ has requested to return to Florida where bankruptcy laws protect his $300k annual pension from the Goldmans.

During the parole board’s deliberation OJ continually laughed and cracked jokes and referred to others as “Frauds” and “Shameless.”

Simpson was convicted on December 5, 2008, and has served nine of a 33 year sentence in prison on the following counts.
Count 1: Conspiracy to commit a crime
Count 2: Conspiracy to commit kidnapping
Count 3: Conspiracy to commit robbery
Count 4: Burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon
Count 5: 1st degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon
Count 6: 1st degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon
Count 7: Robbery with use of a deadly weapon
Count 8: Robbery with use of a deadly weapon
Count 9: Assault with a deadly weapon
Count 10: Assault with a deadly weapon
Count 11: Coercion with a deadly weapon
Count 12: Coercion with a deadly weapon

In Nevada “good time” can amount up to 50% off the backend of a sentence.

Orenthal James OJ Simpson was granted parole by a count of four out of four appointed parole board commissioners. He is scheduled to be released October 1, 2017.
