Prove it 5K Run will take place on the General Motors Performance Test Track

The Prove It 5K is coming back to the General Motors Milford Proving Ground for a 2nd year on June 4th, 2017. The event, organized by Trivium Racing and the Chevy Running Club, allows participants to race where mere mortals are seldom allowed – on the test track at the world famous Milford Proving Ground! The inaugural event had over 700 participants and the registration giveaways included racing tank tops and finisher’s glasses.

The 2017 event is adding to these awesome awards, a finisher’s medal and the USATF certified 5k course will now be part of the Michigan Fitness Foundation Race Series. To make this event even more unique, runners will be scored, not just on their actual finish time, but on their age and gender graded finish time.

This means that the playing field will be leveled and everyone will have a chance to “prove” they have the fastest 5k time! A portion of proceeds from the race will support two charities, the Dearborn Animal Shelter and Special Olympics of Michigan.
