Jimmy Howard stopped all 30 shots he faced, including 24 over the final two periods, to guide the Red Wings past the Flyers in a game between two of the three teams vying for the last two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference
The Red Wings improved to 7-3-0 in their past 10 contests, including three straight victories. They also picked up their third consecutive win at Joe Louis Arena, where they are 11-3-1 dating to Feb. 6.
Howard registered his 22nd career shutout and second of the season (also Oct. 9 vs. TOR: 22 SV). He improved to 6-2-0 in his last nine appearances (2.39 GAA, .914 SV%, 1 SO), including three straight victories.
