MRAZEK PROPELS RED WINGS UP ATLANTIC DIVISION STANDINGS
Petr Mrazek made 22 saves – but fell 2:24 shy of his second consecutive shutout – to backstop the Red Wings to their third straight win, all at Joe Louis Arena.
At 28-18-8 (64 points), the Red Wings moved two points ahead of the idle Lightning (29-20-4, 62 points) and Bruins (28-19-6, 62 points) for second place in the Atlantic Division. Detroit plays host to Boston at Joe Louis Arena in a national matinee on Sunday, 3:30 p.m. ET.
