2nd Annual Run/Walk for RE/ACT Windsor-Essex This Saturday, October 1, 2022
RE/ACT Windsor-Essex invites the Windsor and Essex County community to register for the 2nd Annual 5 km Walk/Run fundraiser on Saturday October 1, 2022 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am at Assumption Park North (Riverside Dr. W and Askin Blvd) along the Windsor Riverfront Trail.
“Join us as an individual, create a team or join an existing team, the choice is yours and this year, we have added a 5 km fun run, states Bob Cameron, RE/ACT Windsor-Essex Director. The in-person walk/run will take place rain or shine and if you are not comfortable walking/running with a group, you can participate virtually and walk in your own neighborhood while bringing in funds for the outpatient program. Funds will stay local, for the much needed REACT Windsor-Essex program and its services.”
RE/ACT Windsor-Essex is a twelve-week outpatient program that provides a safe space for individuals to heal from personal trauma and addictions, taking back control of their lives. This no fee recovery program was established in October 2020 and is an initiative of the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative.
The Walk/Run sponsored by Port Windsor, Tim Hortons, AM800, St. Clair College, New Canadians Centre of Excellence, Gruppo Nutrition, Evolve and Cardella Criminal Defence will begin with check in and continental breakfast at 8:00 am at the Assumption Park North Pavilion.
Online registration is $30/adult, children are free. Registered adults will receive a participant’s gift and more.
