St. Clair Saints Women’s Soccer Sign Top Recruits from GTA

The St. Clair College Department of Athletics and women’s soccer program has announced the commitment of four top recruits for the 2023-24 season from the GTA area. The women that will be joining the program are Brianne Vieira, Victoria Walsh, Brianna Kinsley-Clough and Karlee Tinline. All four women are coming from the Pro Stars Football Club and have played at the League 1 Ontario Premier level.

Vieira is from Georgetown and is graduating from Christ the King high school. Brianne is a 5’4″ centre back who will be taking the Protection, Security and Investigations (PSI) Program with plans to move into the Police Foundations program. Vieira has an extensive amount of successful club experience along with being team captain on many of her teams.

Vieira is excited to join the St. Clair program. “I heard many good things about the PSI and police foundations programs. The soccer program is outstanding in all aspects. From fitness areas, to physio, to tutoring my family and I realized that St Clair really cares about its student athletes. I can’t wait to play in their amazing stadium and I am looking forward to achieving great things at St Clair.”

Walsh is also from Georgetown and played at Christ the King as well. Victoria is a 5’3″ striker who will be taking the Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Social Justice & Legal Studies four year degree program. Walsh has a large amount of club experience playing in high level leagues and tournaments.

Victoria is looking forward to her time as a Saint. “St. Clair was an easy choice for me. It was clear to me and my family St. Clair cares about their student athletes on and off the field. It is a great family atmosphere that I can’t want to be a part of. “

Tinline hails from Cambridge where she graduated from Preston High School. The 4’11 defender will be taking the Pre-Health Science program with plans to move on to the Pre-Service Firefighting program.

Tinline is eager to become a Saint. “I chose St. Clair because I felt it is a great fit for the academic program I am interested in and to continue playing soccer at a high level. The athletic facilities are first class and the support systems in place for student athletes are second to none.”

Kinsley-Clough is also coming from the Georgetown area and Christ the King high school. The 5’5 midfielder will be enrolled in the Pre-Health Science program with plans to take the Bachelor of Nursing Program. Kinsley-Clough has had great team success in many tournaments in recent years.

Brianna can’t wait to start her journey at St. Clair. “All of the staff I met were very kind and welcoming, which created a positive environment. The coaching staff is one of the best in the province. The college facilities are amazing and the Nursing program is one of the best in Ontario.”

Head coach, Steve Vagnini says he’s pleased to add these four women to the program, ” I’m extremely excited to start coaching these women at St. Clair. They bring a great work ethic and a high soccer IQ to this program. Players of this caliber make coaches and our program better.”
