Saints Volleyball Review Nov 26 2017

St. Clair College Women’s Volleyball

The St. Clair College women’s volleyball team improved their OCAA record to 6-2 on the season defeating the College Boreal Vipers at the Sportsplex on Sunday afternoon.

The Saints won the match by a score of 3-0.  Game scores for St. Clair were 25-14, 25-21, and 25-11. It was a solid all around team effort by St. Clair. Kaila Crough (Tecumseh) led the way offensively with 9 kills, 2 service aces and 3 digs.  Andie Suthers (Tecumseh) had a great match as well with 5 kills, 5 service aces, 2 stuff blocks and 4 digs.  The St. Clair women are currently ranked 6th  in Ontario. The loss dropped Boreal’s record to 0-8 on the season.

The women are next in action on Wednesday night when they travel to London to take on the top ranked Fanshawe Falcons in their final match of the semester.

The men’s team improved their OCAA record to 5-3 on the season defeating the College Boreal Vipers at the Sportsplex on Sunday afternoon.

The Saints won the match by a score of 3-0.  Game scores for St. Clair were 25-6, 25-13, and 25-11. It was a solid all around team effort by St. Clair with the entire roster seeing lots of action on the court. Michael Knight (LaSalle) led the way offensively with 6 kills, 1 stuff block and 1 dig in 2 sets played.  The St. Clair men are currently ranked 8th in Ontario. The loss dropped Boreal’s record to 0-8 on the season.

The men are next in action on Wednesday night when they travel to London to take on the top ranked Fanshawe Falcons in their final match of the semester.
