Men & Women Saints Volleyball Top 10

The St. Clair College men’s volleyball team travelled to Kitchener on Sunday afternoon to take on the Conestoga College Condors to open up their second half OCAA schedule.

 

The St. Clair College men’s volleyball team travelled to Kitchener on Sunday afternoon to take on the Conestoga College Condors to open up their second half OCAA schedule.

The St. Clair men came away with a huge win defeating Conestoga 3-0. The set scores for St. Clair were 25-21, 25-19 and 25-18. Outside hitter Mike Knight led the way for St. Clair with 16 kills, 3 stuff blocks and 4 digs. Outside hitter Jared Niziolek  also had a big game with 16 kills, 1 service ace and 6 digs.

With the win,  the Saints record improved to 5-5  on the season while Conestoga slipped to 4-6 . St. Clair avenged an earlier 3-2 loss to the Condors in the first semester.  The St. Clair men are currently ranked 10th  in the OCAA and sit in 6th  place in the OCAA West Division.

The men are next in action on Saturday, Jan 21 when they travel to Hamilton to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers

The St. Clair College women’s volleyball team also travelled to Kitchener on Sunday afternoon to take on the Conestoga College Condors to open up their second half OCAA schedule.

The St. Clair women came away with a solid win defeating Conestoga 3-0. The set scores for St. Clair were 25-15, 25-16 and 25-19. Chloe Stachow led the way for St. Clair with 6 kills, 1 service ace, and 3 digs.

With the win,  the Saints record improved to 8-2 on the season while Conestoga slipped to 1-9 . The St. Clair women are currently ranked 4th in the OCAA and sit in a third place in the OCAA West Division.

The women are next in action on Saturday, Jan 21 when they travel to Hamilton to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers.
