Sarnia Sting Defeat Windsor Spitfires…Again

Drake Rymsha scored two goals and Juston Fazio made 20 saves as the Sarnia Sting defeat Windsor Spitfires 5-3 at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena Friday night.

Rymsha scored twice and Adam Ruzicka added a single as the Sting struck for three goals in a span of 5.23 minutes late in the third period to overcome a 3-2 deficit and take control over what had been a tight game up until that point in the contest.

Jeff King and Jaden Lindo had the other goals for Sting (30-28-6-1) while Windsor native Anthony Salinitri chipped in with a pair of assists.

Gabe Vilardi with his team-leading 29th goal of the season, Hayden McCool and Graham Knott replied for the Spitfires (39-17-5-3) Mario Culina, who was making his third start in the the last four games, made 31 saves as Windsor dropped their second straight game in 24 hours after the team had their modest three-game winning streak snapped.

The Spitfires schedule has them return to action Sunday afternoon when they play their next-to-last regular season home game at the WFCU Centre.
