Spitfires Defeat Steelheads
Jeremiah Addison scored two goals and added two assists for a four-point game and Michael DiPietro made 25 saves as the Windsor Spitfires defeated the Missssauga Steelheads 4-2 at the WFCU Centre in Windsor Thursday night.
Gabriel Vilardi and Logan Brown had the other goals for the Spitfires (4-2-0) as the newly-formed line of Vilardi, Brown and Addison combined for 9 points on the night.

Villardi and Addison were making their season debuts for Windsor in the game as Villardi was returning from a knee injury and Addison had just returned from the training camp of the Montreal Canadiens.
After a scoreless first period, Nathan Bastian opened the scoring in the game in the second frame for the Steelheads (1-4-0) when he scored on a two on nothing breakaway after he and Michael McLeod jumped on a turnover at the Mississauga blueline while killing a penalty.
Vilardi responded for the Spitfires just over five minutes later when he converted a pass from Addison on an odd-man break to notch the game up at 1-1.
Damian Bourne had the other goal for the Steelheads while Teumseh’s Matthew Mancina made 26 saves in losing effort.
The game was the second between the two teams in less than a week and was also the last between them for the 2016-2017 OHL regular season. The Spits captured both contests.
Windsor returns to action Friday night when they take to the road for a game against the Guelph Storm.
