General Manager Warren Rychel Trades Overage Forward Hayden McCool to Oshawa Generals
In exchange, the Spitfires will receive Oshawa’s 4th round pick in 2020.
A native of Newtonville, just outside of Oshawa, McCool played in 176 regular season and 12 playoff games over parts of three seasons in Windsor, posting 35 goals, 47 assists and 157 penalty minutes, along with one assist and 12 penalty minutes in the postseason.
“Hayden wanted to finish his OHL career close to home,” said Rychel, of the 20-year old McCool. “We were able to come to an agreement to make that happen. He’ll give them leadership and a veteran presence in the room.”
