‍The Soo Greyhounds emerged victorious against the Windsor Spitfires in a riveting game with a 6-2 win at the WFCU Centre.

After a 2-1 Spitfires lead in the first period, the Greyhounds exhibited an explosive offensive performance in the second period, scoring four times. This included two rapid-fire goals in the first minute and three within the initial 4:31, which proved to be a game changer.

Down a goal at the beginning of the second period, Karki wasted no time in scoring his first of two goals at the 41-second mark. This was followed by D’Intino scoring 18 seconds later to make it 3-2 in favor of the Greyhounds.

The Greyhounds continued to build their lead, with Carlisle’s shot from the point deflecting off a Windsor defender resulting in his first goal of the season. This was followed by another goal by Karki and a late goal by Carlisle.

The Soo improved their record to 27-12-2-1, putting them four points up on idle Saginaw in the race for the top spot in the West Division.

Meanwhile, the Spitfires fell to 13-23-3-1.
