St. Clair Women’s Soccer Defeat Lambton

Sept 22, 2018 – The St. Clair women’s soccer team earned an easy win over the Lambton Lions on the road in Sarnia on Saturday afternoon by a score of 8-1.

Tira Copeland (Windsor; Holy Names) and Cassandra Rose-Medeiros (London; John Paul II) led the way with 3 goals each. Ryan Morneau (Windsor; L’Essor) and Aleah Berenz (Belle River; St. Anne’s) rounded out the scoring with 1 goal each.

With the win the Saints improved to 2-2-1 on the season while Lambton fell to 0-5.

The Saints are next in action on Tuesday when they travel to London to take to the top ranked and undefeated Fanshawe Falcons.

St. Clair Men’s Soccer Narrowly Defeat Lambton

The St. Clair men’s soccer team earned a tough win over the Lambton Lions on the road in Sarnia on Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-1.

Petar Stevkovski (Windsor; Riverside) put the Saints up heading into halftime. Lambton scored late in the second half to tie the match but St. Clair responded quickly after that on a penalty kick by Bastien Aquilera (Chile) and held on for the win.

With the win the Saints improved to 2-3 on the season while Lambton fell to 0-5.

The Saints are next in action on Wednesday when they travel to London to take to the top ranked and undefeated Fanshawe Falcons.
