St. Clair Volleyball Teams Start Second Half

The St. Clair College volleyball teams will begin the second half of their OCAA schedule on the road this weekend as they travel to the GTA area to take on the Sheridan Bruins and the Humber Hawks.

The St. Clair women are currently 6-3 on the season and ranked 4th in Ontario. Two of the three losses were 5 set heartbreakers with the Saints having match points in both games. St. Clair’s offense has been spread out well by setter Kim Quintanilla with 5 players averaging over 2 points/set. Even though the Saints don’t have anyone in the top 15 in scoring Quintanilla is 2nd in the OCAA with 8.55 assists/set. Libero Julie Ann Milling (Woodstock) leads the OCAA with 119 digs.

On Saturday, the Saints will take on the Sheridan Bruins in Oakville. The Bruins are 5-4 on the year and ranked 7th in Ontario. The Saints defeated Sheridan 3-1 on November 10 in Windsor. St. Clair will be in Etobicoke on Sunday to take on the top ranked Humber Hawks. Humber is 9-0 on the season and ranked 1st in Ontario and 4th in Canada. The Hawks defeated the Saints 3-0 on November 4th at the Sportsplex.

The St. Clair men are currently 5-4 on the season and ranked 8th in Ontario.  St. Clair’s offense has been spread out very well with 5 players averaging over 2 points/set.

On Saturday, the Saints will take on the Sheridan Bruins in Oakville. The Bruins are 5-4 on the year and ranked 7th in Ontario. The Saints lost to Sheridan 3-1 on November 10 in Windsor. St. Clair will be in Etobicoke on Sunday to take on the top ranked Humber Hawks. Humber is 7-2 on the season and ranked 3rd in Ontario and 11th in Canada. The Saints defeated the Hawks 3-1 on November 4th at the Sportsplex.

Both of the matches against Humber will be live streamed online with the women’s match at 1 pm followed by the men’s at 3 pm.
